Work and income:

Together with our local partners, we provide financial and value-creating resources for individuals, communities, banks and businesses to promote sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, dignified work for all and a lasting social impact. We are Norway's largest operator of microfinance institutions - with banks in Ecuador, Bolivia, Liberia and Vietnam.

Mission Alliance is an international, ecumenical development organisation dedicated to reducing poverty and advancing inclusive, sustainable development.

We believe that when individuals and communities are equipped with the resources to act and supported to exercise their own agency, they are empowered to shape their future in a positive direction

How We Work

Locally Led

We collaborate with local partner organisations  including Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), faith-based institutions, cooperatives and the private sector 
Our programmes are rooted in community-based decision-making,fostering ownership and long-term relevance.
We prioritise participatory development models that directly involve people in shaping and implementing solutions that matter to them.
o Our programmes align with national development strategies and reflect 
global frameworks such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
o Faith networks remain central to our partnerships, recognised as vital 
civil society actors in many communities advancing locally led advocacy 
and community-owned development.

How We Are Funded

About half of our work is supported by private individuals, companies, churches, schools, and organizations. The other half is financed through intstitutional funding, primarily from the Norwegian Development Agency, Norad.
