What we do

Mission Alliance lead extensive development projects in Africa, Asia, and South America. Together with local organizations and churches, we work to combat poverty, ensure a fairer distribution of resources and opportunities, and share God’s love with the world’s most vulnerable and marginalized people.

Through our work, we aim to give people living in poverty the freedom to choose, the opportunity to be included, and the power to lead.

Local partnerships are fundamental to driving lasting positive change.

We work at the grassroots level through organizations and churches that are part of or closely connected to the communities they serve. Together, we design projects that address key challenges within these communities, enabling people to build a better future for themselves. The Mission Alliance provides advice, experience, and funding to make this work possible. We also equip local actors to eventually sustain the work independently.

Protecting children and empowering women

Mission Alliance empowers children and youth at risk around the world by equipping them with skills that foster personal growth and professional development. From preventing criminality and promoting social inclusion through sports in Brazil's favelas, to strengthening the resilience of vulnerable youth in Ecuador — one of the countries most affected by transnational organized crime — through skills training and livelihood opportunities, Mission Alliance helps young people unlock their potential, break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future.

Mission Alliance empowers girls and women by breaking down barriers to inclusion and creating opportunities for personal and professional growth. From supporting women in learing to read and write in Liberia, to mentoring girls and women in Vietnam — one of the most challenging places where few organizations reach marginalized communities — Mission Alliance provides skills training, entrepreneurial education, and livelihood opportunities that foster independence and unlock new possibilities.

Microfinance and financial inclusion

Mission Alliance provides financial and value creating resources to individuals, communities, banks and businesses. Together with them, we promote sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, dignified work for all and a lasting social impact. One important way of generating work and income is through loans, savings and other financial products.

This is partly provided through our microfinance operations, through our microfinance management company Alliance Micorfinance (AMAS).
